Computing - Computing systems and networks - Systems and searching
Children develop their understanding of computer systems and how information is transferred between systems and devices. They consider small-scale systems as well as large-scale systems and explain the input, output, and process aspects of a variety of different real-world systems. Children discover how information is found on the World Wide Web, through learning how search engines work (including how they select and rank results) what influences searching, and comparing different search engines.

They will look at rewards and consequences and consider how behaviour affects groups. Finally the children will learn about democracy and having a voice. participating.
The children will begin by developing their creative drawing skills with typography. We will study examples of Street Art as a genre and develop visual literacy to observe and reflect on a range of artwork in this style. This term the children will focus on painting, exploring analogue colours. They will select and mix colour harmonies and use these to create their own art, describing the effect these colours create. Then they will have the opportunity to reflect on the styles and techniques in previous art learning and select from a range of materials to create their own art, sharing ideas with others. Finally we will study the work of designers.
