Prehistoric Britain
This half term the children will be continuing to learn about the Stone Age through to the Iron Age with more focus on the Iron Age. The children will investigate why the Iron Age people used hill forts and discover the impact that this had on society in Britain.

Design and Technology
Linked to our topic, the children will be making bread from different eras and making comparisons. They will discuss how and why the taste changed over time. Why not have a go at making your own Stone Age or Iron Age recipes at home. Share your creations back at school.
Mathematics
Arithmetic and Reasoning: The focus during this half term is multiplication and division. The children will learn their 3, 4 and 8 times tables and begin to apply their knowledge to solve problems.

Data and Measure: This half term we will look at reading and writing the time to the nearest minute. Time is a difficult concept for the children. Practise as much as you can at home. Playing

Science: Forces and Magnets
The children will be design experiments to investigate how things move on different surfaces  and investigate the strength of different types of magnets.
